I came to South Florida the way a lot of our clients do — with a suitcase, a rough plan, and very little local context. The first apartment I rented, I overpaid. The first deal I closed as an agent, I learned more from the mistakes than the commission. Those two experiences shaped how I run the brokerage now.

Before SunSt I built and led a sales team of more than 100 agents and closed across every segment of this market — waterfront single-family, pre-construction condos, multifamily, short-term rentals. I started SunSt because I wanted a smaller bench and a higher bar: every client gets a senior advisor from first call to closing wire, and the numbers we give you are the numbers we'd stake our own money on.

How we got here

  1. 01

    Why I started SunSt

    I'd spent more than a decade inside larger brokerages and kept seeing the same pattern — listings won on inflated prices that quietly reduced six weeks later, senior agents pitching the deal and a junior actually running it, and clients who never got a straight answer on cap rate, carrying cost, or true days-on-market. I opened SunSt because I wanted to run transactions the way I'd want one run for my own family.

    The first listings

    We launched lean — me, a photographer I trusted, and a small handful of past clients who took a chance on a new shingle. The first dozen listings closed at or above ask, and the referrals started before we'd even built the website. That stretch taught me what to keep forever: real underwriting before pricing, honest pre-list conversations, and answering the phone after closing.

    Building the team

    I grew slowly on purpose. Every advisor on the team is someone I'd hand my own listing to — fluent in the languages our clients actually speak (English, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian), trained to underwrite a deal the way a buyer's accountant would, and senior enough to own a transaction from valuation through closing without a hand-off.

    Where we are today

    Over $150M closed across single-family, condos, multifamily, and short-term rental assets in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. More than half of new business now comes from referrals or repeat clients, which is the metric I actually care about — it means the work is doing what it's supposed to do.
